Possible link betwenn H1 N1 vaccine and narcolepsyThe Medical Products Agency of Sweden(MPA) opened an inquiry into vaccinations for H1N1 (Pandemrix) made by GlaxoSmithKline, suspected of provoking narcolepsy. So far there were six reports of narcolepsy from health care professionals, concerning children aged between 12-16 years that occurred one to two months after vaccination against the H1N1 pandemic. THere are also several reported cases in Finnland. Lankinen,head physician of the Finnish Medicines Agency said that doctors seem to have deliberately refrained from informing authorities about their suspicions of side effects of the swine flu vaccine Pandemrix, even though there were several cases of suspected side effects. |
